This policy explains what information Bracketr.gg collects, why it is used, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.

Bracketr.gg uses account and competition information to operate esports tournaments, teams, broadcasts and player profiles. Connected-platform data is used only to provide the connection or feature you request. We do not sell personal information.
1. Who operates Bracketr.gg
Bracketr.gg (“Bracketr”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an independently operated esports competition platform based in Australia. Questions or privacy requests can be submitted through our contact page.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you create or use an account, we may collect your name, display name, email address, encrypted password, avatar, player identifiers, team or organisation roles, social links and profile details.
Competition and community information
We process tournament registrations, rosters, match results, rankings, availability, applications, predictions, support requests, moderation records, uploaded media and other information you choose to submit.
Connected accounts
If you connect a third-party account, we receive the information you authorise that provider to share. Depending on the provider, this may include an account identifier, username, email address, avatar, channel name or public channel information. Providers may include Google/YouTube, Twitch, Discord, Microsoft, Steam, Epic Games and Kick.
Technical information
We may automatically receive IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, requested pages, security events, diagnostic logs and essential session-cookie data needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.
3. How we use information
- Provide accounts, player profiles, team and organisation portals, competitions, rankings and broadcasts.
- Verify identity and connect accounts at your request.
- Communicate about registrations, matches, applications, service updates and support.
- Moderate content, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our terms and protect users.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and improve Bracketr.gg.
- Meet legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.
4. Google and YouTube API data
Bracketr.gg uses YouTube API Services when you choose to connect a YouTube account. We request read-only access to identify and display your YouTube channel connection on your Bracketr player profile. Bracketr does not upload, edit or delete your YouTube content through this connection.
Bracketr.gg’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Your use of YouTube remains subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
You can revoke Bracketr’s Google access from your Google Account connections. You may also disconnect the account in Bracketr or contact us to request deletion of stored connection data.
5. When information is shared
Some information is public by design, such as display names, team membership, competition entries, match results, rankings and public profile or channel links. We may also share information:
- With service providers that host, secure, email, maintain or support Bracketr, only as needed to provide those services.
- With a connected platform when you initiate a connection or use its feature.
- With authorised competition, team or organisation administrators where needed to manage participation.
- When required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety and service integrity.
- As part of a business transfer, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards.
We do not sell personal information or use Google user data for advertising.
6. Storage, security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information, including access controls, encrypted transport and password hashing. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain legitimate competition records, resolve disputes, protect the platform and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type. Backups and security logs may remain for a limited period after deletion.
7. Your choices and rights
You may update available profile details, disconnect supported accounts, withdraw optional permissions, or ask us to access, correct or delete personal information. Certain competition records may need to remain for integrity, legal or security reasons, but we will explain any applicable limitation.

8. Children’s privacy
Bracketr is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your location, use Bracketr only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent.
9. International services and external links
Bracketr and its providers may process information in Australia and other countries. External services and websites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not control them.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Bracketr develops or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes may also be announced through the service.
